I am the oldest daughter to Joseph Ray COX b. 1921, Bell Co. TX, second son
to Horace W. COX and Annalene RAY b. 1901 Bell Co. TX, only child to Donathan
Tankersley RAY b. (we surmise) 1871 and Dovie Anna FURNESS m. 1900. Donathan
disappeared from the picture immediately after the wedding (family tales
state it was a "shotgun" wedding). But I'm almost certain that his parents
were Thomas RAY and Mary Ann TANKERSLEY m. 1870 in Bell Co. TX. Am presently
awaiting confirmation from an associate in TX. Have no further information
on the RAY family for this point. Working on it.
