Regarding the Gay family of Virginia---------

William Rhea and Elizabeth Clark had a son William Rhea, Jr. His first wife
was Mary Elizabeth Gay. Her father Robert Gay bequeathed one-third of his
personal estate to his wife, Sarah, Two-thirds to his granddaughter,
Agnes/Nancy Reagha and his land on Moffett's Creek in rockbridge county he
devised to his grandsons, Robert Reagha and Archibald Reagha. (note the
spelling of the Rhea name) Rockbridge Co., VA Will Book 1, 384-385. Will of
Robert Gay, father-in-law of William Rhea Jr. dated January 31791 Proved
april 5, 1791. Also see Morton's History of Rockbridge County, Virginia, p.
524. Among the witnesses to this will were William Rhea, Jr.(his former son
in law )and his wife Elizabeth Brownlee ,Nelson.

perhaps they would like to comment.
