Looking for parents & siblings of Samuel F. Rhea of Washington or
Unicoi County, TN.

Samuel married Catherine PARKS, daughter of William E. and Nancy ERWIN
PARKS, on 6 October 1861 in Washington County, TN. They had 2 children:

a) James Rhea, born about 1862 according to the 1880 census. (I have
circumstantial evidence that James is the James E. Ray that married Flora
Bean in Unicoi County, TN)
b) Hannah Rhea, born 3 February 1863, died 27 December 1947 in Washington
County Tennessee, married Jacob Grant Duncan on 17 September 1885, in
Washington County, TN.

- According to Hannah's death certificate, Samuel was born in Yancey
County, NC (date unknown, but would be about 1830-1840)

- According to family tradition, Samuel was killed by Confederate troops
on his farm during the War of Northern Agression, exact date unknown but
another family tradition states that he died before Hannah was born.

- Catherine appears in the 1880 Tennessee Census in Unicoi County, TN
with her two children
