I have Joseph C. Rhea's 1969 book on the Rheas. Neither he nor I could
make the connection to this branch.
My earliest known ancestor was Rev John Rhea, who was a Baptist preacher
at the Sandy River Baptist church in Cheatham County, NC
(according to Worth Ray's book). John was born in 1739 and died
Feb 16, 1813 at Rocky River, TN in Van Buren County.
What I really need are his forbears.
