Hello Jack,
I have asked a question very similar to yours but have't received
a clear answer yet...

From what I've been told... "yes" all of the different variations of
spelling of the name are "welcomed with open arms".

But, what I want to know is... Is there ANY CONNECTION between the
families with the varied spellings ( other than this Genealogical
discussion group and the fact that we all live on the same planet)?

I do know that the families who spell their names "REA" and "RAY"
are related because in my own family they spell it both ways. My
Gr. Grandfather spelled it "RAY" and his wife spelled it "REA"!
However, I still don't know if there is connection between "WRAY",
"RHEA", "REY", and my family with the other 2 variations (REA & RAY).

Don't get me wrong... I'm delighted that I'M welcomed into the
"RHEA" group (it's always nice to be accepted into any group that
one wants to join) but, do I belong there?
Sincerely, Rob Warren
