Alta Lindeburg

ROANOKE -- Alta Lindeburg, 96, formerly of Roanoke, and Hastings, Neb., died at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 14, 2005) at Snyder Village Health Center in Metamora, where she was a resident.

She was born Dec. 5, 1909, in Doniphon, Neb., to Ben and Anna Rewerts Lindeburg.

Surviving is one sister-in-law, Elnora Lindeburg, Roanoke; and one niece, Phyllis (Fred) Eden, Roanoke.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Wolbert, Clarence and Harry Lindeburg.

Alta was a care taker to her parents in Hastings, Neb. She also worked at the sewing factory in Hastings, Neb.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Roanoke.

Cremation rites will be accorded and burial of ashes will be at a later date in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in rural Benson.

Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's unit at Snyder Village or to a charity of the donor's choice.
