Hi - I am new to the board. Through my mother, I am a Reese. My grandfather was Benjamin Franklin Reese, b. 1914 Montral, Quebec, d 1987 Montreal Quebec, son of Lewis Reese b. 1885 Ontario, d. 1944 Montreal, Quebec and Hattie Belle Dick. His parents were Benjamin Franklin Reese and Mina Greenaway. Family history has Benjamin Franklin Reese born in Massilon, Ohio in 11 Jan 1858 to Louis Walter Reese and Elizabeth ___. The first I can find them is in the 1881 Canada Census in Oshawa, Ontario. This does confirm a US birthplace for Benjamin, though in one census record it does look like NY instead of US. Does anyone out there have any information on these Reese's? It was also spelled Reece. Thanks for your help, the brick wall is driving me crazy....
