Greetings List Members,
Been hung up too long. Searching all lists for connections to RASUREs..
There are multiple spellings as I'm sure ya'll are aware of. My bunch is from around the Ohio Valley area.
Common lore has it three brothers immigrated to the states. After awhile they separated, one staying in the Ohio Valley area, one moving to the Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma area, yet another going farther west.
I'm stuck at great grand father, not much to brag about for ten years of research, JOHN W. RASURE, b.1850 in KY, d.1913 also KY.....Married ISABELLE STOCKINGS, b. 1854 Warrick County, IND, d. 1897 Evansville, IND. When she died they were obviously in IND..They had children:

WILLIAM HARRY

Upon ISABELLE'S death JOHN remarried to MARY "MOLLIE" ELIZABETH NAVE..This union produced yet another son for JOHN.

Miss NAVE had a sister BELLE NAVE
