Here's what I have in my database-I may have more on paper, but recently moved and haven't yet unpacked all the material:
Dorcas Read was born abt. 1738, and died 22 February 1808 in Neuse, New York. She was married to Mordicai Mobley, who died in 1792 in Wake, North Carolina.
Dorcas was the daughter of Harmon Read (b. 1698 in Prince George, Virginia, d. in Halifax County, NC) and Mary Pendry (d. Oct 1767 in Halifax County). Dorcas had 4 siblings: Moses, b. abt 1744 in Halifax County, d. abt. 1815 in Robertson, TN), Lydia (no info), Jesse (m, b. abt 1744 in Isle Wright, VA, d. 6 June 1820 in Halifax County), and Aaron (b. abt 1748 in Isle Wright, d. abt. 1788 in Wake, NC).
I don't have anything on Mary Pendry's line.
Harmon's parents were Henry Read (d. 7 Oct 1712 in Prince George, VA) and his wife, Elizabeth (no other info on her). Henry's parents were Peter Read (d. abt. 1688 in Charles City, VA) and his wife, Ann.
I'd be happy to send more information (i.e., descendant tree) via mail or email.
