Hi,

I got information that Raborn comes from the old land of Raborn in the Parish of Dunlop in Ayrshire and that Raborn is a sept of clan Boyd. The family crest you site is correct. I have been trying to trace my very, very earliest ancestor. The earliest I can find is Joseph Raborn Sr. from Edgefield, South Carolina. One source said the my ancestors originally came from Virgina. Joseph Sr. was born in 1752, but I can't find any Revolutionary war records on him. Cheers!
