Family tradition has it that Howell Jackson Rayburn (born TN
1818 - lived in Franklin County, Al circa 1831-1861) and his wife,
Savilla Hargett, had a daughter named Ann who married a man with
Rayburn surname, to whom she was not related (or closely related).
This family tended to call each other by their middle names.
One paper I have from National Archives regarding this family is
signed "Eliza An Rayburn." I suspect this is the same woman.
Does anyone have any information on an Eliza An, Eliza Ann, Eliza
Anna, Elizabeth An, Ann or Anna Rayburn who married a
Rayburn/Raburn.
My guess her birth date would be around 1842 in Franklin County,
Alabama. Don't know where the marriage took place. This family
moved into TN and KY during the Civil War and then near Waterloo,
Lauderdale County, AL around 1880.
