I am searching for the parents of Margaret Matilda Quinton.b
2/1/1844 d 3/3/1928.
Margaret was married 9/9/1869 to Reuben G. Bennett in Fort
Mill, SC.
Her parents were Andrew W. Quinton & Mary ? Andrew
d.1/16/1880.
Margaret's obit indicated she was last of her father's line
except for a brother believed to be in Tenn. Her parents
arrived from Irland, but I have not been able to determine
when. I have a large postcard picture of what I believe to
be her brother. The postmark is unreadable.It could be 1904.
Someone wrote Jim Quinton Family on the card. In addition
to what
appears to be a man and his wife, there 3 other males and 4
other females. Three of them appear to be grown while the
other 4 appear to be 10-16 years.
Anyone familar with this family? I have found very little on
Quintons and any help would be appreciated.
