Helen Quillen Bowen, 85, died April 5th, 2000.

Helen was born Oct. 29, 1914 in the Fort Blackmore area in Scott
County, VA, to the late James Ezra and Luna Allie Quillen.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband,
U.W. (Jay) Bowen; her sisters, Naomi Salling, Ruth Owens Watson,
Sally Taylor and Irene Armbrister; brothers, Isaac (Ike) Quillen, Ker-
mit Quillen, Cecil Quillen and Eugene (Cotton) Quillen.

She's survived by one son Jay E. Bowen; three daughters, Frances
Bowen Mullins, Linda Bowen Carrico and Sue and Paul Vaughn;
six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one dear sister and
friend, Lillian Quillen Banner; and a host of nieces, nephews and
special friends.

Helen's buried in the Fraley Family Cemetery, Duffield, VA.
