Mrs. Julie Ann gold Queen 81 of 401 N Morgan Street,died Wednesday,Jan 28,2009 at White Oak Manor
Mrs. Queen was born Aug.4,1927. in cleveland County ,a daughter of the late Joseph Christopher Gold and Julia Elliott gold Mrs. Queen worked as a telephone operator for southern Bell
and a teacher 's aid at Casar Schools and for Shadowline and Celanese. mrs Queen was a member of Clover hill United Methodist Church.
Suvivors include her son and daufgter -in -law-joseph Asbury Queen llland wife Luria Stephens Queen;grandaughters ,brandy natalie Lynn and Virginia Lynn Queen ; a great grandaughter Amelia Mariah Queen -whiteall of Charleston S.C.;and a brother Hoyle gold of Pokeville.
In addition to her parents Mrs Queen was preceeded in death by her husband joseph AsburyJr.;five brothers .Palmer,Griffin,milton,Benjamine and joseph gold ;and two sisters ,Rebecca ans Susan Gold.
Memorial Service;Saturday,Feb.7,2pm,;Clover Hill United Methodist church.
Visitation :the family will receive friends immediatelyfollowing the service.

( Comment " Julie Ann Gold Queen was of the family that Dr. Gold in older days came to Golden Valley to attend the sick. When I came to Golden Valley in 1948 he was spoken fondly of by all the elders in the community,they held back no feelings that their parents loved the kindly doctor. My dad in law as well as many other children born around the turn of the century -1900 was named for D.Gold). Betty.
