Hi all,
Don't wish to give anyone the wrong impression. I'm not on any
particular Queen trail at this time. Two points:
1. I have probably researched the descendants of Alfred Queen of 1810
as far as I will go. Neither a boast nor a complaint, but I have
something over 2,000 names of blood descendants and spouses of
descendants. Will share pertinent data with anyone researching this
line.
2. I believe it probable, that Samuel Queen (b. ca 1776) and on the
Haywood Co, NC census of 1820/30 was Alfred's dad. Equally probable is
that James H. Queen of 1808 who m. Isabella Bryson was Alfred's
brother. Also possible, maybe probable, that Joseph Queen of 1830
Haywood was Alfred's grandpa. So??? I'm trying to rule OUT those
Queens who would NOT be siblings or aunts/uncles of Alfred and James.
I'm also trying to determine if research has been completed or is
underway for folks who MAY be the sibilings/aunts/uncles of Alfred.
Then I will select a few remaining Queens as candidates for my
continuing research. It's my belief that everyone wins as we research
and share our findings.
Now, it's time for me to be silent except when I have data to post or a
question to ask. So, I'll get back to work with this final comment:
If there's anyone on this list who has not shared with the list their
key links to Queens, then you are missing out on opportunities to a)
possibly obtain data from others which would help you in your research
or b) assist others in their research.
(Links to Alfred of 1810 were posted less than 60 days ago, so I won't
bore folks with another post at this time.)
Happy hunting to all,
Gene
