What rarely gets mentioned at all, is the "war" between the
wars...Undeclared, Washington desperately didn't want the war that he
eventually got (1812), so he sent out General Anthony Wayne to hold the
British and natives back, see the Northwest Indian War

It was all British troops in Louisiana [no Canadians] and that was fought
after the end of
the war - but no one knew peace had been negotiated. More death for nothing
because
nothing was gained as far as borders were concerned. Also the Natives lost
any hope of
obtaining permanent lands in North America.

I thought it was a fairly balanced documentary. It gave credit to the
British/Canadian
land victories; the taking of Michilimacinac & Detroit among them, which is
unusual for
American historians - and acknowledged the unpreparedness of the Americans.
Also a lot of
the 'experts' were Canadian & Native so it was a good mix that way too.
