Tonight on PBS in Canada at 9 00 PM the War of 1812

The story of the War of 1812 is chronicled via reenactments, animation and
remarks from scholars. The documentary details the events and causes that
led to the conflict and highlights such notable moments as the burning of
Washington, D.C.; Andrew Jackson's victory at the Battle of New Orleans; and
the birth of the American national anthem. It also details how the war
shaped the nation's boundaries; and ended the Native American dream of a
separate Indian nation.
