I was curious, so I took a look at this.
The 1910 census for Sprague (Baltic is a village there) Town, New London County, CT shows a large LaCroix family there which fits some of your parameters. The family is there in 1900, 1920 and 1930.
Joseph - born c1857 CAN
Mary - b. c1869 VT
Henry - b. c1889 RI
Alberta (Albina in latter censuses) - b. c1892 RI
Ida - b. c1894 RI
Wilfred - b. c1896 RI
Charles - b. c1898 RI
Joseph Jr. - b. c1900 CT
Evan (Eveline in later censuses) - b. c1904 CT
Louis - b. c1906 CT
Edward - b. c1908 CT
Emma - b. 1910 CT
There were 13 children born to this couple, only 10 living. The mother was born in Vermont. There is a Joseph Jr. The Rhode Island children were born in Natick, RI.
I cannot find a Joseph LaCroix born in 1886 in Ontario and later in the states.
Your grandmother, Marie Leonora Charron is 9 years older than your grandfather?
If not your direct ancestors, they are certainly close relatives.
Very perplexing!

Hi Frank
Thank you for you quick reply. My grandparents lived in Baltic Conn, just
when they arrived I have no idea. I know they had 13 children. Mary Charron
was born in Brandon Vt., this is not true as I wrote to Branbon but they had
nothing on her so I went up there and nothing could be found.I believe she
came out of Canada. Again thank you for your quick reply. Joe
