Bob, they would usually name a child by the same name only if the first one died. As they wanted to
have a name stay in the family so much that if one boy died the next boy would take that name.. I
have one who died while she was carrying another. He died in January and the other was born in
August and a boy again so there the name came back.. Normally the boys would all get Joseph and the
Girls would get Marie with one or two names after that, but not usually in the same sequence..

Yeah, and when they name kids Senior and Junior.... and then more are
born......what do they do with the next "junior?" And if Senior #1 dies, do
they all move up a peg, and get called something different then???

name? so that it would be a family name or something??? Perhaps the family
called these brothers by different names, too, but they were both christened
using Pierre...

Sounds like the old Bob Newhart show. "This is my brother Darrel and this
is my other bother Darrel."
