WEBSITE NEWS.
************
*
1. Over the past 9 years I have been asked by Out-Of-Province folks, "If
I photographed local cemeteries, can I send the pictures to you and have
them placed online?" At the time, I told these folks that I was
concentrating only on Northern Ontario. However......!
*
2. The National website now exists: http://gravemarkers.ca ..! On this
"free-access" new site I can accommodate photographs of complete cemeteries
from anywhere in Canada. The photographer is given credit on the website
for all his/her hard work. The National Site is proud to announce that there
are more than 400 cemeteries completely photographed with over 300,000
photographs onboard. There have been over 540,000 visitors to the site and
each day there are over 200 folks browsing the site.
*
3. If you have family or friends across Canada who may be interested in
photographing their local cemeteries, please pass on this information to
them. Their photographed cemeteries will have wide exposure on this National
Cemetery website.
*
4. If you and/or your organization is interested in your local cemeteries
going online, please contact Murray at: mailto: or
mailto:
*
5. A comprehensive "Tips and Hints" aide memoire will be sent to all
interested folks....to help them get started to photograph entire
cemeteries.
*
6. Links to popular Rootsweb Genealogical Mailing Lists are onboard.
These lists provide an excellent vehicle for you to get your "brick walls"
published and available to thousands of eyes. The Mailing Lists have
searchable archives.
*
7. For those interested, "The Canadian Gravemarker Gallery" is now a
"Group" on Facebook.
*
*
SUBSCRIBING TO THE WEBSITE UPDATES NEWSLETTER:

Don't miss future updates. Subscribe to the Gravemarker Galleries
Newsletter. Please go to the Website at:

Updates Newsletter" button located just above the weather row.

******************************************************
*
NOTES:
*****
1. Cemeteries have spousal duplicated photographs. This means a photo
which has the spouse's maiden name showing, is duplicated and when one
searches for a surname, the spouse's surname will be a separate "search
result".
*
2 Should you wish to help out with this ongoing huge project, please
contact Murray at mailto:
*
3. For those interested, "The Canadian Gravemarker Gallery" is now a
"Group" on Facebook.

Bye for now.....Murray
