Hi Sue,

I think part of the confuses arises because there is a parish of L'Acadie in
St-Jean county, Quebec province where many Acadians settled after the
expulsion.

As for "Quebec" ... you're dealing with Quebec City, Quebec county, and
Quebec province. So, a complete record for Quebec city might read: Quebec,
Quebec, Quebec, Canada!

To locate many of the parishes in the Drouin you almost need a good map of
Quebec as it was in the early days. The county structures have been revised so
many times that parishes today are often in different counties than they
were "back then".

I have a town-county map from Quentin that is invaluable when it comes to
locating the old parishes. Let me know if I can locate anything for you.
