It depends. There are some records with an error on it, like
the wrong parent or even the mother-in-law when the father was
married twice. But, there are also errors in Jette (I published
a long list of them in 1998), like the wrong first name or the
wrong date. In some cases, someone has a name when married and
another name in all other records, so sometimes, you have to
see the other records (like what can be done from PRDH database
for example) to find the right first name.

In what was known as Montreal (and Quebec City) at that time, there
was only one parish until the 1860s.
