Thank you, Frank, this could be a lead, although I have found
mentioning of a FELTZ/FELSQUE, Ignace, in the meantime, discounting
my VOLTZ identification, since I also found a VOLTZ/FULTZ
connection. Yes, I know, it is not easy at times (or ever)

There is another 'unsolved' entry in Virginia DeMarce's book,
right above the FELZ, Henry entry ---

"??FELTALSADE, J.B. Son of Christophe and Marguerite SMITH,
married 21 Oct 1794 La Baie du Febvre to Therese GAUTHIER,
daughter of Etienne and Madelaine DESCOTEAUX."

I have not the slightest idea who this one could be, been looking for
an explanation for years.
Cheers,
John

Hi John/Kathleen;

PRDH lists FELX as a variant of FELZ, as in Henri FELZ, Hesse Hanau
Chasseur, discharged in Canada in 1783 and which you mention in your book as
perhaps being Voltz.

Regards
Frank
