Subject: [QUEBEC] NOTARY RECORDS

I attended a Genealogy conference and the speaker said that ALL marriages in Quebec required a pre-nuptial agreement even back in the 1800's.
He said that these pre-nuptial agreements can be found in the NOTARIAL RECORDS of the notary that was used.
My questions are:
Is this TRUE?
If so, where would these records be located for Megantic Co. Quebec?
Would you know if notary Daniel Byrne ( he worked in the Megantic Co. area in the mid 1870's) records have been microfilmed?
