The cemetery of Hotel Dieu desing under the name of Pauper's cemetery, the
cemetery for the persons
who died at the hospital. and the register for the years 1827 and 1829give no
Gardner or Roach.
On the other hand the Picotte's Cemetery was the cemetary for the parish of
Notre-Dame de Quebec
and it is unlikely that your ancestors are buried there if they were
presbyterians.
You have to know that the civils registers (baptisims, marriage and burials for
all the parish
of Quebec were microfilmed and that the ANQ (National Archives of Quebec) have
a copy of
those microfilms. They can be Consulted at their office or by mail, 1210,
avenue du Séminaire
as listed below.
You can also contact La Societe de Genealogie de Quebec who can do research for
you at a reasonnable price.
