Dave;

Further to my message of a few hours ago, Marie Louise Boullard's
father, François Boullard, came from Cambrai, Flanders. He and
Françoise Lauzon were married in Montreal on 20-11-1675. François and
Françoise had 14 children, 5 of whom died either the
same day they were born (4) or a few years after.
Son Paul Boullard married Marie Handgrave, and Marie-Charlotte married
Pierre Handgrave. Presumably the Handgrave's were sister and brother.
>From TANGUAY, Vol. I, page 76.
Françoise Lauzon's parents were Gilles Lauzon, b. 1631, s/o Pierre and
Anne Boivin from St Julien, Mans Bishopric (Évêché du Mans), (funeral
on 21-09-1687 at Montreal), and Marie Archambault. Gilles and Marie
were married at Montreal on 27-11-1656. Thus they were among the
first settlers in Montreal.
