Hi Listers ~
I'm new to the list. Searching for information on Jean-Baptiste
TREPANIER and wife Sophie BRISEBOIS. They were married Feb 7, 1825 at Ste.
Genevieve-de-Pierrefonds, Montreal. I have found them with up to ten
children in the census of 1851 & 1861. My great grandfather is their third
child, Francois-Xavier TREPANIER. He married Anna MAJOR in Ottawa in 1870.
Parents of Jean-Baptiste were: Joseph-Guillame Trepanier and
Madeleine L. Lafontaine (they married Feb 9, 1795). Parents of Sophie:
Francois Brisebois and Angelique Rouleu.
I know the Trepaniers were originally in the Chateau Richer & Trois
Rivers area. Not sure about the Brisebois'. Any connections?
