Would someone be kind enough to offer a translation of this
phrase, which has puzzled me for a very long time. I realize
it means 'he died', but am wondering if it has any special
significance to les Québecois out there. It refers to an
ancestor who lived in the Sherbrook area of Québec in the
1860's.
'(Il)...fut tué aux chantiers.'
Any help would be appreciated.
Roger
