Dear Lorie;

It is also possible that your ancestors married in
the Catholic church in Orleans, Ont, or even in one
of the parishes in Ottawa.
The was no Catholic church in Cumberland after it
was burnt down about 1866, until later in the 1900's.
So Catholics had to marry in nearby parishes,
like my grandfather's brothers, Peter and Andrew Watters who married in
Orleans, and my grandfather in Notre
Dame Basilica, Ottawa.
I have also found marriages in Curran, and Clarence Creek,
other small nearby villages, as well as Buckingham,
P. Q.

Hope those leads might help.
