Hello Quebec historians, may I as the listowner ask a question of you
which has puzzled me for some time.
Can anyone tell me relatively accurate what the French population
of the Old Province of Quebec was before or right at the beginning of
the Seven-Year's war, also known as the French-and Indian war in 1756,
and since it has been reported that many wealthy people removed back
to France after 1763, what the population would have been at the
outbreak of the American Revolution. And knowing that there was a
census in 1791, what would the count have been at that time.
Thanks in advance for your help.
John.
