Interesting..
I'm using version 10, but I haven't noticed this issue.
Is it only happening on some people or do you see the same kind of thing
with every relationship?
I'm thinking your people must be related through some relationship that you
aren't seeing right
off, or you have someone connected to the wrong family somewhere.
If you run a kinship report and take a look at all the relationships, you
should see that sometimes
there are more than one relationship listed for a person.
This is a simple example, but for one person in my report, he is listed as
my great granduncle, and also as
the husband of my great grandaunt. This is because my great grandfather &
his brother married sisters.
If it's not anything like the above, then maybe it's a software issue.
Maybe there was some problem when
the data was imported into the new v. 2009? I'm running version 10 on
windows 7.
It states that it is not compatible, but it does open, and does run. I keep
wondering if there's going to be a
problem down the line, but so far so good. I looked at the beta version of
2009 but didn't like it.
If you can't figure out the problem ask someone on the message board below.

Speaking of Family Tree Maker, I have Family Tree Maker 2009. If I use
the relationship calculator on someone it says something like 11th cousin x1
removed but if I flip the relationship it says 4th cousin x1 removed. Does
anyone else use this version?
Sincerely,
Jesse
