If you know the date of the record, then you can more or less guess about
the page # needed. If you don't know when the event took place, then
yes you would need to go page by page.
Have you checked it out at Ancestry yet, to get the date?

If I use the Family Search site(LDS) to find a roman catholic record in
uebec, do I have to go page by age when I find the correct parish that has
range of years? Or can I say put page 35 in the box and skip up to that
age. I figure that in a particular church register that has 150 pages, it
ill take me for ever to get to the page where I feel I should start
ooking.
