Looking for proof of Birth and Immigration for Joseph Harmedas Bessette. Supposedly born in Iberville, Quebec on either Feb 12 or 14, 1879. Census records indicate that he immigrated to the US in1897. He married Jennie M. Dunbar in St. Johnsbury, Caledonia County, Vermont on May 30, 1900. Marriage lists surname as Bissett and parents as Abraham Bissett and Adeline _____.

However, I can’t find him (about 2 years old) in 1881 Census with what are supposed to be his Parents nor can I find him (about 12 years old) in the 1891 Census. Any help proving parentage, DOB and Immigration time & place would be greatly appreciated.
