Haven't been able to find the baptism .. Supposedly he is born around 1848
.. ALWAYS shows up as William B. in the U.S. census ...

Marriage entry attached.

I had done all my research with his parents as Isaie Gariepy/Garrepy and
Adelaide Dandurand (1839) ... then this weekend in double checking 'stuff'
come up with census and a marriage with a Isaie Gariepy and Adele Pelltier
(1841) !!!!!

In checking Canadian census find the 1851 with both William 19 and Basilide
17 .. Thus my question!!!!

Any help clarifying/confirming greatly appreciated and I currently seem to
be stumped and don't know whether to throw away an entire line following the
Dandurand line !!!!!!

Hi Pat

Yes, Guillaume is the French name of William. I suspect the

same is true for the other name as well.

Do you have this man's baptismal record to see just

what name he was given at birth?

If not, give us his birthdate and location so we can look it

up for you.

HI:

Have ancestors that use all of the above .. need clarification!

IS Guilliaume really William in French?

Are Basileque and Basilide the same name and what are they in English?

Thanks so much!!!!!!
