I never thought of the fact that WWII might have slowed things down and the
Depression in the 30's might have made her change her mind.
Re the Depression - I wonder if the billions she inherited 3 years earlier
were only worth millions in 1930 - poor dear :-)
Actually I was thinking the US govt was the cause and that some of American
listers might have some ideas.
I have tried to research the reasons why her application would have been
rejected but I can't fit any of them to her.
I'll just have to wait til I receive the papers.
