Le vingt deux Novembre mil huit cent neuf par nous Pretre soussigne
desservant cette paroisse a ete inhume dans le cimetiere du lieu le corps de
Joseph Scott, vivant laboureur de cette paroisse epoux de Marie Josephte
Berteau decede avant hier au dit lieu, age d'environ quarante ans, muni des
secours de l'Eglise. A l'inhumation furent presens Louis Lefebvre et Jean
Baptiste Ticher qui ont declare ne savoir signer.

Burial of Joseph Scott 75

On November twenty second eighteen hundred nine, I, priest undersigned,
serving in this parish, buried in the local cemetery the body of Joseph
Scott, late farm worker in this parish, husband of Marie Josephte Berteau,
who died there the day before yesterday at about forty years of age, having
received the help (i.e., the sacraments) of the Church. Present at the
burial were Louis Lefebvre and Jean Baptiste Ticher, who declared they were
unable to sign.
