On February nineteenth, eighteen hundred ten, after the publication of three
banns of marriage on three consecutive Sundays between Peirre Asselin
Villeneuve, adult, legitimate son of the late Captain Simon Villeneuve and
of Madeleine Sabourin, his father and mother, formerly farm owners in this
parish as one party; and Louise Segnier, minor, daughter of Hyacinthe
Sabourin dit Laderoute and of Louise Rouleau, her father and mother, as the
other party; I, priest undersigned, having discovered no impediment between
the parties, other than consanguinity (blood relationship «parenté») in the
third to the third degree, [They had in common one grandparent, or two
grandparents married to each other] for which the contracting parties
received dispensation from Monsignor Roux, Vicar General, dated on the first
of this month; with the approval of their respective family members and
friends of these spouses and having received their mutual consent, gave them
the nuptial blessing, in the presence of Pierre and of Captain Francois
Villeneuve, uncles of the groom; of Regis and Xavier Villeneuve, his
brothers; and Hyacinte Seguin, father of the bride, of Hyacinthe Seguin, her
brother; of Francois Cadieux her uncle, of Francois Seguin and Vincent
Belanger, their friends and witneses, as well as several other family
members, friends and witnesses, of whom some signed, while some declared
they were unable to sign.
