1840 LOTBINIERE Paroisse St. Louis
M 27 Cleophas Terrien & Marie Rose Lemay dite Poudrier
On September twenty eighth eighteen hundred forty, after the publication of
two banns of marriage and dispensation from the third granted on the twenty
fifth of this month by His Excellency Joseph Signay, Bishop of Quebec,
between Cleophas Terrien, day laborer, of this parish, adult son of Julien
Terrien and the late Marie Tremblay of the parish of La Malbaye, as the
first party; and Marie Rose Lemay of this parish, minor daughter of Antoine
Lemay dit Poudrier and Rosalie Tanguay, of this parish, as the other party.
Having found no impediment, I, undersigned, pastor of this parish received
their mutual consent to marry and imparted the nuptial blessing in the
presence of Joseph Terrien, Urbain Toussignant, Augustin Lemay dit Poudrier
and Nicolas Lemay dit Poudrier. The bride and Urbain Toussignant signed with
us; the groom and the other witnesses declared they were unable to do so.
