It just seems like there are some occasions of extra kindness that get
over looked.

I would just like to take this opportunity to publicly thank my wife, for
her caring and endless work dealing with
our................................................poor winter birds............................

Yeah Birds, this past week its been very cold and some days below zero and
sometimes below zed also.......LOL

Why their poor feet have been freezing and some days we had to go out and
poor hot water on their feet to get them unglued from the bird feeder where
they had frozen.

Sue brought some of the Peeps (Gold Finches) into the house to get warm
and stop shivering and also to get measured.

Yes, measured. She sat down and began her knitting. She ended up knitting
22 pairs of little booties for all of our gold finches that stay around all
year.

Now they are just great out there, feeding outside our bay window and not
shivering and no longer sticking to the bird feeder.

Now they sometimes stop at the window and gently knock to Sue and wave
their little wings in thanks.

As for myself, I made little ear muffs for each of them, that's right,
they don't have ears, but they do have ear holes, and with all that arctic wind
blowing in their ear holes their little brains get extremely cold.

Now we have the most content gold finches with little ear muffs and
booties.

Think about your winter birds............................are you doing
what you can for them?

Hey, I'm bored, I have no cemetery reports to write for now.

Best
Bill
