Particularly significant is the fact that these registers go beyond those available on the LDS beta site (about 1899). Presently, they claim to have up to 1909. Also, each year is indexed. Time will tell just how easy it will be to use this new tool.

Yep! and free.

The Quebec archives (BAnQ) have started the on-line publication of their
collection Quebec parish registers, in conjunction with the Quebec
Registrar of Civil Status. The work is still in progress and more
parishes will be added on, but as of right now, there are thousands of
records available, of all denominations, and the quality is superb.
