Marie (Catherine) CHEVALIER, daughter of....

The most extraordinary thing happened to her marriage record in the
transcripted register, on the 3 Oct 1712. The transcriber wrote the
name of the husband, his profession, his town of origin, the name of his
previous and deceased wife, the witnesses, and tuti.... but forgot to
indicate who Pierre La Tour was marrying, or the name of her parents.
Her name appears in the margin only. (Drouin - Ancestry, Beauport (La
Nativité de Notre-Dame) 1700-1759, 131:566 Fortunately, the original
still exists (Drouin - Ancestry, Beauport (La Nativité de Notre-Dame)
1712, 4:7, and does show that Marie Catherine CHEVALIER's parents to be

Jean CHEVALIER and Marguerite Magdeleine AVISSE from Beauport (m. 25 Feb
1686 in Beauport, Qc, Canada)

Marguerite Magdeleine AVISSE, daughter of:

Denis AVICE and Jeanne CREVIER who were married in France.

So your oldest known maternal granny is Jeanne CREVIER.
