Hi Renee and others,

I am a bit shame of myself not realizing Renee had given me the date and
place of marriage...St-Francois de la Riviere du Sud on Jan. 1st. 1764 .....

I checked in FamilySearch for that same place and date and I cannot see my
marriage there. Any suggestion?

A big thank you for you information.

I had the spelling wrong from McDonald to Macdonell-Cormac.

I am now quite anxious to see if we can find this marriage of Alexander
Macdonell- Cormac to Marie Deslauriers- Babineau. It possibly be a
protestant marriage isn'it?

And the timeframe would suggest a possibility of Alexander being a soldier,
maybe a Fraser Highlander, present at the battle of the Plaines d'Abraham on
Sept.13th.1759?

Anybody can confirm this theory?

Quite thrilling.

I wonder if the marriage and parents to Alexandre McDonald and Marie
Deslauriers is knowned.

Their daughter Marguerite was married to Pierre Pellerin in
St-Pierre-de-la-Riviere-du-Sud, Quebec on Nov.20th. 1787.

Any help would be appreciated.
