Constance,

In the records of Yamchiche, Quebec ( Trois Rivieres County) there's the
birth & baptism of Olivier Bellemare 20 Apr 1875 son of Augustin Bellemare
& Rosalie Chartier ...godparents are the child's uncle Olivier Bellemare &
his wife Mathilde Desaulniers

Olivier Bellemare's marriage record to Mathilde Desaulniers list his
parents as Augustin Bellemare & Esther Chauvette

Augustin Bellemare & Esther Chauvette have a son Augustin born & baptized
at Yamachiche on 30 March 1848

I have been searching for this husband and wife for 15 years. Recently I
finally found her obit and burial place as 1922 in Montreal at the
Basilique Notre Dame. She died at her daughter's (Pheobe
Paquette/Poguette) home in Montreal. I am looking for help to find
Rosa's and August Belmore/Bellemere's parents.

Her mother's first name was Marguerite (bm aby 1817) and her father's
name said to be something like Hilaise Chartier. Rosa and August were
both from French Canada. She was born Nov 1838 in Santa Rosalie, and
August was born 17 Mar 1846 but don't know where. I have read the
microfilm for Ste Rosalie but the entries ended in 1836 so no luck
there. Rosa immigrated to the US about 1857 but traveled back and forth
to Montreal as shown by border passing permits.

August immigrated about 1861. They were md in Rhode Island about 1871.
Their 3 children were born there. then they moved to Crawford County,
MI. Though Rosa (Rosalie) died in Montreal, her pobate was in MI. I
know this seems like alot of info but it doesn't bring me closer to
finding either of their parents. Are there any birth records, etc.,
besides those in the parish records? Any suggestions?

Theonly thing I know about these two is that Joachim was born about 1831
inAllumette Island and died in Fort Coulonge. Julie was born abt 1833
inRigaud (as per her daughter's death certificate) and she also died in
FortCoulonge. Their daugher Elenore was born abt 1852 in Allumette Island andmarried
Louis George Morissette in 1870. These two have escaped for a whilenow.
Does anyone have them two in their personal dbase. Any information orclues is
much appreciated.
