MANCHESTER -- Rita Couture, 88, died Aug. 17, 2010, at Maple Leaf Health Care Center after a period of declining health.
She was born in St. Adrien, P.Q., Canada, Nov. 21, 1921, to Joseph and Alphonsine (Champoux) Gauthier. She lived most of her life in Manchester.
She worked for MKM for 10 years, Pandora for 10 years and at American Velcro for 10 years.
She was a member of the former St. Therese Church for many years and was currently a member of Blessed Sacrament Church.
She was married to Leonidas Couture who died in 1988.
Family members include three children, Jean Couture, Guy Couture and Solange Binette, all of Manchester; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours or services.
Burial will be in St. Augustin Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
