Hi Doreen,
Yes, Jeanne Labbe married Jean Elie on 28 Nov 1669. They had five
children Francois (8 children), Jeanne(13 children), Pierre(20
children), Marie-Madeleine, and Jacques(11 children). They were my 7G-
grandparents.

Any chance that you could translate the information? The websites are
also in French so I am at a disadvantage being monolingual English.
Thank you for all of the help and information. I appreciate it.

Cheers,
Lue

Hi Mona:

There was one site http://naviresnouvellefrance.com/html/vaisseaux2/engages/engagesMasMer.html
refers to Pierre Mercier and which states "(f Nicolas et Jacqueline
THIENAU), de Notre-Dame, v. et ar. Rouen, Normandie (Seine-Maritime);
(DGFQ : 798; RHAF, 6 :
395)"

And another site http://membre.oricom.ca/cbreton/gen/Ancetre/Ancetre%20JEAN%20ELIE%20DIT%20BRETON.htmv

I'm probably reading this incorrectly, so... did the bride change her
mind and married Jean Elie instead of Pierre Mercier?

Cheers!
Doreen
