Subject: [Q-R] A bit of history family Babin- Richaume
Date: Sun, 16 May 2010 21:13:50 -0400

Hi,

I am wondering if somebody would have any information about the
Babin-Richaume family living in Boucherville.

Pierre Babin dit Lacroix and Marie Richaume had 6 children born between 1692
and 1701 in Boucherville.

Marie Richaume had 2 children out of wedlock with an unindentified father:
Genevieve (1703) and Charles (1709). At Charles's baptism, his mother is
said to be a farmer for the Seigneur Boucher in Boucherville. Charles's
godfather is a Charles Marchand, also a farmer for the Seigneur Boucher de
Boucherville, but in another farm belonging to the Boucher.

Pierre Babin is dying on June 26th. 1752 in Boucherville.

Was Pierre Babin and Marie Richaume divorced around 1702-03?

Any suggestion about reason for Marie Richaume having children with another
man while her husband was still alive?

Cheers
