Thank you Nicole
Marie Genevieve who maried in 1817 is said to be `Fille majeur`daughter of
age.
She couldn`t have been of age if she was born in 1797 only 20 at the time of
her marriage,
She had a sister Genevieve-Helene born in 1792 and died in 1792. Maybe she
use her birht date to get married in 1817.
She was the sister of Joseph Alexandre-Laliberte mar. to Genevieve
Chapdelaine-Lariviere in 1818.
Good luck
Renee

Renee,

The Genevieve married in 1817 and the Genevieve married in 1839 and 1843 are
two different ones. I've looked at the Drouin records on Ancestry.ca and
have copies of all of them.

The Genevieve Alexandre from the 1817 marriage is the Marie-Genevieve
LALIBERTE, b 21 Feb 1797, bap 22 Feb 1797 Yamaska (d of Joseph LALIBERTE and
Genevieve TAUREL)

The second Genevieve ALEXANDRE was b 10 Apr 1822, bap 11 Apr 1822 Yamaska (d
of Joseph ALEXANDRE and Genevieve CHAPEDELAINE).

Geneviève ALEXANDRE dit LALIBERTE m 5 Nov 1839 St-David, Yamaska to Antoine
JOYALE - In the Drouin record on Ancestry.ca, she is said to be "majeure"
but the word was crossed out and replaced with "mineure," daughter of Joseph
ALEXANDRE dit LALIBERTE and Genevieve LARIVIERE.

Genevièeve ALEXANDRE dit LALIBERTE "veuve majeure de feu" Antoine JOYAL m 27
Feb 1843 Joseph BLANCHARD.

Both died in St-David in September 1879 (but at a very different age).

Nicole
