Hello father John and all,

Pheeeyew! Talk about tricotté serré! That would have been one tough exam
question!

It turns out that Marie Louise DANIS was not closely related to
Ferdinand DANIS even if she was buried in his funeral plot. I took for
granted that they were, given the same name, but it turns out I was
looking at the wrong connection.

She was in fact related to Ferdinand's widow, Georgianna PRATT. Who knew!

Ferdinand DANIS s/o Francis DANIS and Rosa DUFAULT married 5 Apr 1926
Georgianna PRATT d/o Frobby Charles PRATT and Marie Louise OSTIGUY.

He died the following year, on 20 sept 1927, and was buried at
Notre-Dame des Neiges cemetery.

The year after that Marie Louise DANIS was buried in the same plot. She
was the wife of William LOISELLE at the time - the fact obscured by the
cemetery's insistence in calling him LOUSILLE.

William LOISELLE was the third and last husband of Marie Louise DANIS.
From her first marriage, to Honoré OSTIGUY, in 1860, she had a daughter
named Marie Louise OSTIGUY.

This daughter married Frobby Charles PRATT and begot Georgianna who
married Ferdinand DANIS, not closely related to her grand-mother Marie
Louise DANIS.

Marie Louise DANIS shows up as a Marie Louise LOISEL on the 1901 census
for Montreal. At the time, she was living with her son-in-law Frobby
PRATT and her daughter Marie Louise OSTIGUY. She died in 1929, and her
husband William LOISELLE survived her to live to 1934. He apparently was
not living with her in 1901 and might have taken up with someone else.
Oh well.

Thank you for you help,

Mona
