Maskinonge (St Joseph)
Marriage of Joseph Vermette and Genevieve Ayot
In the year One Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy Four, after the publication of three bans of marriage done from the pulpit during our parish masses on three consecutive Sundays, between Joseph Vermette, son of Augustin Vermette and Marie Josephte Juneaux, his father and mother, of Lormiere, as the first party; and Genevieve Ayot, daughter of the late Ignace Ayot and of Francoise Lecuyer, her father and mother, of Lotbiniere, as the other party; without finding any canonical or civil impediment to the said marriage, I received their mutual consent to marry, and imparted to them the nuptial blessing, according to the order prescribed by our Holy Mother the Church, in the presence of Augustin Vermette and Pierre Duchesnay, witnesses for the groom, and of Charles Munier and Antoine Lemieux, witnesses for the bride, and several others of whom some signed and others declared they were unable to sign, according to the ordinance.

I think it is the Marriage of Joseph Verret and Geneviève Ayot, dated 26
Sep 1774. Can anyone read the parents of Joseph Verret and the parents of
Geneviève are Ignace and Francoise Lec?????.
Any help, as usual much appreciated.
Dolly
