Are you sure they were married in Canada? I could not find any reference to a Trepanier/Cloutier marriage in Maskinonge or elsewhere. They don't seem to be in the 1901 or 1911 Census either.... well, at least I could not find them.



Could "Onesime" be called "Ezra" in USA? The NY Census found on LDS Pilot for 1900 shows the following:



Ezra Trepanier b. abt 1824, wife Philemane(sic) Trepanier b. abt 1837, both in "Canada Fr." living in Champlain & Rouses villages, Clinton Co., NY with children George, Amelia, Linda. Ezra Trepanier, Jr. born Aug 1865 in NY is living with another family in Champlain Village, NY.
